What we did
Visualizing Thought Leadership
Del Co Design Lab supported Cognizant’s thought leadership design across white papers, e-books, infographics, social media graphics, blog visuals, and supporting campaign assets. The work included developing reusable templates, creating custom graphics, sourcing imagery, building layouts, refining charts, and preparing assets for deployment to Cognizant’s website.
Beyond design, we helped move projects through the full creative lifecycle — from concept and layout to final production and website deployment support. Across each asset, the goal was to make complex ideas more accessible, visually engaging, and aligned with Cognizant’s evolving brand identity.
The process
Thought Leadership Design at Scale
Each project began with a review of the content, audience, campaign goals, brand requirements, and final channel needs. Working closely with Cognizant’s marketing, editorial, and creative operations teams, we explored the best way to translate dense thought leadership into clear visual systems — whether through e-book layouts, infographics, social graphics, blog imagery, charts, or campaign visuals.
Once a direction was approved, we moved into design production, applying Cognizant’s brand standards while adapting layouts for each format and platform. Final assets were reviewed with the internal team, refined through editorial and stakeholder feedback, and prepared for deployment across Cognizant’s website, Insights page, blog, social channels, and downloadable resource library.

Infographics
Charting the Path infographic was developed as a companion piece to Cognizant’s The Future of Us e-book, distilling a 36-page thought leadership report into one concise visual story. We organized the content around the e-book’s three core themes — Digital+, Consumer Empowerment, and Purpose — using data points, charts, section headers, and visual hierarchy to make the ideas easier to scan, share, and promote across digital channels.
Created under a previous Cognizant brand identity, the Remotopia infographic used long-form visual storytelling to explore how remote work was reshaping business, technology, residential life, and employee expectations. We used a vertical scrolling format with custom illustrations, bold section breaks, statistics, and narrative pacing to guide readers through a complex and timely topic. The piece went on to win a 2021 Content Marketing Award for Best Infographic.
Ebooks
For the Cognizant e-books, we developed visual systems that helped make complex business and technology concepts easier to understand and more engaging to read. This included finding the right imagery to set the tone for each topic, creating custom illustrations to support abstract ideas, and designing graphics and charts that clarified research findings without overwhelming the reader. Across both pieces, the goal was to balance strong cover art, thoughtful image direction, clean editorial layouts, and custom visuals so dense subject matter could feel more accessible, polished, and aligned with Cognizant’s thought leadership brand.

White papers
For Cognizant’s white papers, we helped transform complex research and thought leadership into polished, easy-to-navigate long-form assets. Each piece required a strong editorial layout system, clear content hierarchy, branded typography, supporting visuals, charts, pull quotes, and section treatments — much like the ebooks — that made dense business and technology topics more accessible for readers. These examples show Cognizant’s evolution of branding from 2017 through 2020 with their complete overhaul of logo, color, font and imagery.
Blog visual infographics
Cognizant’s blog visual infographics were designed to quickly communicate the key concepts of each article while staying aligned with the brand’s evolving visual identity. These graphics helped draw readers into topics such as AI, digital transformation, customer experience, retail innovation, remote work, and emerging technology through bold imagery, illustration, color, and concise visual storytelling.
Social media graphics
Social media graphics extended Cognizant’s thought leadership into more immediate, shareable formats. We adapted key ideas from reports, blogs, and campaigns into visually engaging graphics sized for digital promotion, worked with copywriters to use strong headlines, branded templates, illustrations, and image treatments to help complex insights stand out in fast-moving social feeds.
