The FICO B2B design partnership has been one of the most meaningful and long-standing creative relationships in Del Co Design Lab’s history. Before launching the studio, Laura worked with FICO as a full-time designer, gaining deep knowledge of the brand, business, internal teams, and highly technical B2B marketing needs. After transitioning from an in-house role to an independent creative partner, that relationship continued — and still continues today.

During the previous brand era, FICO used a flexible visual system built around bold category colors, large photography, clean typography, and modular layouts. As a result, the design system could adapt across brochures, e-books, solution sheets, case studies, and presentations.
Much of the collaboration centered on helping FICO teams organize complex content into clearer, more engaging communications. We worked through messaging hierarchy, image selection, diagrams, section structures, callouts, and layout systems to make highly technical topics easier to scan and understand.
